Annual General Meeting – February 18th 2025

Our Annual General Meeting was well attended and the primary objective was to elect Club officers for the forthcoming year. It was refreshing to welcome some new Club members to the Committee and being involved in the runnng of the Club wil serve as useful background should they wish to take on more onerous roles at a future date.

Following the AGM, we were given an excellent presentation on how to compile audio-visuals using Canva and Suno software packages and a demonstration on what could be achieved. This will have sparked interest in experimenting with the techniques learned and hopefully we can share the fruits of our labours at a future meeting.

Annual General Meeting – February 15th 2022

Our AGM will be held this coming Tuesday on February 15th in the Angel Hotel ballroom and commence at 7.30 pm.

The main part of the agenda is the important task of electing the Club’s Committee members for the year ahead to ensure the smooth transition and functioning of the club. Members are requested to attend the meeting in person wherever possible and offer their inputs.

Following the AGM we will explore some practical activities that can be held at our Tabletop Photography meeting on March 15th and make preparations to ensure that any items of equipment are available to facilitate our activities.

AGM – February 16th 2021

The Club held its first AGM using Zoom which worked well. After a welcome and introduction to the proceedings by the Chairman, reports by the Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer were presented and discussed. The main body of the meeting centred on the election of Club Officers and the incoming Committee had a familair and distinctly strong resemblance to the outgoing Committee with the exception of the addition of one additional member to the team. A couple of matters arising were discussed before the meeting was formally closed.

The AGM was then followed by a presentation on Underwater Photography.

AGM – February 19th 2019

The Club held its Annual General Meeting and the new Committee for the forthcoming year were elected. Following this there was considerable debate around the ways and means to replace the Club’s projector, which had developed a terminal fault. A number of options were explored and a way forward was agreed. There was also a  good discussion around Club membership levels and how attendance can be stimulated.

Following the formal part of the evening, Barry Davis showed a number of his audio-visual presentations featuring the Channel Islands, RAF Hendon and others. The evening concluded with a viewing of the open digital images that had been submitted to last years WCPF exhibition.

Club Subscriptions

It was proposed and agreed at the A.G.M. that Club Subscriptions are to increase to £35.00.

What you got this year is

21 nights of photography related subject matter.

including 4 presentations by speakers, 8 Competition Nights.

A battle with Devizes, and a Tri-Battle with Cirencester and Highworth

So, in my opinion each Club Night costs £1.66 is very good value.

AGM

On Tuesday 18th Feb, the Club had it Annual General Meeting, where a new Committee was voted in. OK so it was the exciting Committee, as they had done such a good job, and they seemed to enjoy the roles that they volunteered for, they volunteered themselves for another year. The club gave them a resounding vote of thanks for all their hard work that they have done in the last year.

The main subject that came out of the meeting was that we are changing our name. The Camera Club, will now be known as the “Royal Wootton Bassett Camera Club”, this was unanimously voted through(Phew).

So the RWBCC can now move forward with the same committee and ensure that we all enjoy our passion of photography.
