Three categories of entries “Action”, “Portrait” and “Open” were judged as members competed for the silverware associated with the Annual Competition. Matt firstly explained his judging style and then gave many insightful comments and helpful hints on presenting images to maximise their impact. With a sharp eye for detail and always looking for connectivity and interaction within the image, the artistic interpretation by members of the “Portrait” section in particular, challenged the judge. However, the top three entries in each category were selected and an overall winning image on the evening was declared. We now look forward to Matt judging the Annual Competition prints on June 14th.
