Tony and Jenny Byram worked as a ‘double act’ to demonstrate how to use PicturesToExe software, from the basics upwards, to create professional audio-visual (AV) presentations.  They started the evening by showing one of their excellent AVs – ‘Broken Boats’ – which ably highlighted the impressive capabilities of the programme and the effects that can be achieved. This was followed by familiarisation of the multi-pane layout screen and explanation of how to navigate the menu options. Several tips and advice were provided on how to select, sort and transition images to create a coherent story. After the break we experimented with adding and editing sound tracks to accompany the images. This can be quite time consuming as it involves a lot of trial and error in order to achieve the required results. The enthusiasm and knowledge of Tony and Jenny will have inspired members to explore AVs further as an effective means to showcase their photographic work.
