WCPFAV Exhibition 2106 – April 11th 2017

Club members viewed the audio-visual presentations that had been submitted to last year’s Western Counties Photographic Federation audio-visual competition. From the 37 entries received, the top 12 AV presentations had been selected and fell into three categories i) short AV presentations that ran for less than 4 minutes ii) long AVs that exceeded 4 minutes and iii) a category named photo-harmony.
The AVs spanned a wide range of subjects and used an impressive array of special effect techniques. Dismaland, the temporary art project organised by street artist Banksy, constructed in the seaside resort town of Weston-super-Mare, was the subject of two AVs and lent itself to some amusing and thought provoking images.
Whilst only one club member regularly produces AV presentations, the evening provided inspiration to many others to have a go in the future and could form part of a members evening in the next season’s programme.
