Peter Crane from Stratton Camera Club treated us to an informative and entertaining evening with his diverse collection of images. His clever coordination of colour elements enhanced the impact of the images and his inventive use of “borrowed art” (often grafitti covered walls) created some amusing outcomes. He gave a good insight into his modus operandi both in terms of equipment used and techniques that he employed. Invariably he looked for a story from every image through a connection between the various elements within the image and the environment in which it was taken. He achieved this through clever use of reflections, shadows and careful juxtapositioning to create outcomes that ranged from being humorous through to powerful social commentary.
