Tuesday 10th May 2016 ‘Open Competition’, Judge – Ian Drake.

With a good attendance by the club members, tonight’s comp was this season’s final entries towards the Mayor’s Cups in both print and projected.

The varied genre of subjects submitted ranged from Landscapes, Street scenes, Portrait, Abstract, Macro, Wildlife and Action, this must have been challenging to judge but Ian provided inspiring and valuable comments from initial composition to final presentation of all entries.

The winner of tonight’s print competition was Adam Kowalczyk with a stirring portrait of an old lady presented in mono, along with his observations and feedback of Adam’s winning photograph Ian appeared to be overwhelmed with this print, suggesting it would make an excellent Salon entry.

Adam also went onto win first place in tonight’s projected with a close up action shot of a B25 just taking flight.

Well done Adam and to all who took part and thank you Ian for your time.
